Moon Sighting - رؤية الهلال
Sha'ban 1439 - April 18, 2018 • (بداية شهر شعبان لسنة ١٤٣٩)
First day of Sha'ban 1439 AH is Wednesday, April 18th, 2018.
Despite perfectly clear skies, the hilal (crescent moon) was not sighted anywhere in Georgia or surrounding areas on the evening of Monday, April 16th.* The hilal was sighted easily in Rome, GA after Maghrib on Tuesday, April 17th after 30 days of Rajab.
(*There was one solitary reported sighting in Rome, GA but no other witnesses and negative reports from all other observers in the Georgia and Tennessee region.)
Jumadal-Ukhra and Rajab
1st Jumadal-Ukhra: February 18th, 2018 (after 30 days - cloudy sky and not sighted on the 29th)
1st Rajab: March 19th, 2018 (after 29 days - cloudy skies in Rome, GA, but confirmed sighting of the hilal on the night of March 18th from Connecticut and other parts in the Northeast US)
